HUDHousing Choice Vouchers Fact Sheet What are housing choice vouchers?
The housing choice voucher program is the federal government's major program for assisting very low-income families, the elderly, and the disabled to afford decent, safe, housing in the private market. Since housing assistance is provided on behalf of the family or individual, participants are able to find their own housing, including single-family homes, townhouses and apartments.

Stop spectra natural gas [transportation] pipeline! Jersey City's long- standing Opposition to the spectra gas pipeline.
There is no doubt the proposed line could imperil invaluable natural
habitats, precious and diverse ecosystems, billions of dollars in
economic infrastructure, and the more than a quarter million residents
of Jersey City”. Jersey City Mayor Jerramiah Healy Even; after all the destruction and flooding from hurricane sandy, federal agencies are still, allowing spectra gas, to continue with their proposed pipeline! Jersey City agency grants easement to spectra energy; City Councilman objects December 05, 2012 by Terrence T McDonald/The Jersey Journal
Jersey City has filed with the United States Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit in Washington, D.C. a Petition for Review, challenging both FERC’s constitutionality as a regulatory agency and its approval of the Spectra pipeline. The move marks the next step in the city’s legal fight against the pipeline.
I find allowing spectra to start to break ground when the case is not settled is outrageous and spectra's rush to break ground everywhere is a move to intimidate people! Psychological manipulation is a type of social influence that aims to change the perception or behavior of others through underhanded, deceptive, or even abusive tactics.
No one can claim eminent domain regarding Federally designated Historical areas. They might try to pull that on the environmentalists. But that Federal Historical status, is set in stone
I don't even want to imagine what a tidal surge wave storm like sandy would do to spectra's proposed pipeline! It's only placed a few feet underground See question 3 frequently asked pipeline questionsq Can crops be planted over a pipeline?a Seasonal crops may be planted over the company's pipelines. While planting and tending the crops, you should take care in tilling and plowing not to damage the pipeline.
spectra corporation and others like it are and have been claiming eminent domain all over the US. What a racket!
Only thing; in Jersey City, for spectra to enter along their proposed route, they would have to cross the historic Morris Canal, (filled in). This is not only, one of the areas totally destroyed by hurricane sandy, but it is a Federally Protected environmental area and is, also and a Federally Protected Historical Site National Register of Historic Places Official Website
spectra loses. spectra cannot claim eminent domain on Federally protected sites like this. Isn't this the reason for having Federally protected land?

Jersey City Mayor Jerramiah Healy, is one heck of a guy. He is; for sure, one of my heroes! Taking on spectra gas co. I've got your back Jersey City, Hoboken and Manhattan's West Village! And yours too, Mayor Healy.
I remember I used to walk past with my Mother, when I was a little girl and all of you used to say hi to me.
I also remember how they chased you out of town just because you were Gypsies. Then you came back and now you own the entire block, (both sides of the street). Good for you.
Thousands of European Gypsies (Roma) in Europe, are suffering from malnutrition and hypothermia, existing in cardboard communities on landfills and urban ghetto holding pens they call home. They have no electricity, running water, education or medical care.

I often use music in my blog, because music is universal. It says what I would like to say, although these great talents say it much more eloquently than I could.
I Love good people. I've met all kinds and I think that people are all the same. There are good ones and not so good ones, etc. But, the good ones far outnumber the bad ones.
